Integrated Modelling of Socio-environmental Transitions (IMOSET)
Introduction IMOSET is a cross-sector research group dedicated to the analysis and implementation of societal transitions for a sustainable planet earth. The group undertakes action-oriented policy-relevant research in two principal directions; 1) Understanding and managing change in socio-environmental systems through spatial analysis and modelling approaches. 2) Participatory planning and governance for sustainability transitions; These research lines come together in the INTRANCES project (see Projects), which engaged key stakeholders in integrated participatory modelling of land use and transport scenarios to help address EU policy goals on climate and air quality. Though INTRANCES (2020-22) has come to an end, IMOSET takes this work forward through a range of related research activities.
